Improv Central

Improv Boston, a long-standing institution in Inman Square, has moved to a new location in Central Square. They are on Prospect Street a couple of doors down from The Field, in the space that I believe used to be the cooperative food store.

We saw our friends Perfect Monster there and they performed their famous fish bit. The other side of the double bill was one of the resident comedy sketch troups, The Latchkey Kids. The show was in the smaller Cabaret space with a full audience. A Bachelorette party took one wing of seats on the left (stage left), while the Batchelor party took the seats in the right wing. We remember when the idea was to ditch your finance for the evening.

Improv Boston now has a beer and wine bar and also sells snacks and soda. Outside alcohol is prohibited, of course, unless it's a prop in your act. The new location is highly accessible by the Red Line subway. If you drive, now you will be able to find a place to park.
